Notwithstanding
the weather, January each
year is wonderful for the staff and inspectors
of Alban Home Inspection Service,
Inc. With the crush of the yearend holidays
and New Year’s celebrations behind
everyone, the Alban company holiday
dinner, held early January to avoid
competition with family celebrations, was
particularly joyous this year. Dutch’s
Daughters Restaurant in Frederick
is a handsome setting and camaraderie
among all was obvious. After
dinner, I was able to congratulate everyone
on a successful 2004, look forward to
2005 and present several awards. RODNEY
SHULL won the Iron-Man award
for performing the most home inspections
during 2004. He received a bottle
of fine French Champagne, although
he prefers Miller Lite!
Both GEORGE ASH
and RUDY RUDACIL received
plaques for five years of
service to Alban, together with my gift of
portable weather stations, which are very
helpful during home and mold inspections.
Finally, Alban offered to match charitable contributions
to SAVE THE CHILDREN,

relief fund. At the dinner, $1050.00
was pledged by the staff and inspectors,
which resulted in a check for $2100.00
going to Save the Children. Everyone
at Alban took a special delight in
this success.
A week later, off we went to the ASHI InspectionWorld
Annual Conference in Austin
Texas. Alban Home Inspection Service,
Inc. congratulates Alban home inspectors
for becoming nationally certified ASHI
Inspectors by treating them to a
fully paid trip to InspectionWorld.
This year, RUDY RUDACIL achieved this honor
and was our guest. Together with MARTY
BLACKWOOD and RODNEY SHULL,
we thoroughly enjoyed the four days
in Austin. Professional classes and business
development seminars dominated the
days and delicious food and live music
dominated the evenings.
Rudy’s Bar-B-Que was recommended by our
cab driver, a fellow airplane passenger and
our bellhop, so off we went. Besides
being a gas station, convenience store
and cafeteria, the smokes ribs and brisket at Rudy’s were
world class!
