Commute Choices

When working near power lines,
follow these basic rules:
• Always assume the line is alive.
Keep yourself and your equipment
at least 10 feet away from the line
for your own protection.
• Never place ladders near a power
line. Again, you don’t want to
touch it with a ten foot poll – so
make sure your ladder is at least
that distance away.
• Keep away from the power line.
Contact can cause serious burns or
even electrocution, so remember to
work a safe distance away.
